I’m so glad that even though I only have 5 days left in Melbourne, I got to go to Mr Kitly this morning! I bet you already know all about it, but just in case: it’s a beautiful shop and gallery in Sydney Road, Brunswick, run by the writer of il-ne-kore. With lots of Japanese things, I suppose the shop it’s most like is the Claska Gallery in Tokyo. But more delightful, handmade, affordable, and with better books. I got a small, delicate piece of pottery that I will have to remember to take very good care of when I pack my bags for London.

This morning I made what will be my last visit to the NGV International for quite a while. Actually, I don’t really like it, as the only thread that connects its fairly sparse contents is that they’re not-Australian. This is delightful though - the Water Wall. All the water for it is rain, siphoned off the roof.
