Remember this, from the part of the election campaign when everyone feared choosing Palin for VP was a hail mary pass that just might work for McCain? It’s mentioned in Richard Wolff’s ‘Renegade: The Making of Barack Obama’ that I read on the plane today:

“[Obama’s] friend Marty Nesbitt shared with him an emailed photo, which summed up their collective response to weak kneed Democrats. It was a picture of the candidate delivering his convention speech, with the caption “Everyone Chill the Fuck Out, I Got This.”

Obama chuckled. “Exactly,” he said. “That’s exactly how I feel.”
